Doughnut-flavored soda is now a thing that exists, and we're pretty sure we just got a sugar high from typing that sentence.
Because doughnuts and soda weren't already sweet enough on their own, Krispy Kreme has teamed up with soda maker Cheerwine to create Cheerwine Kreme, a beverage that combines the flavor of their signature glazed doughnuts with cherry soda. At the moment, the concoction is only available at select stores in the Carolinas, but based on their Facebook page, if enough interest is generated elsewhere, you might start to see the soda pop up in other states soon.
And in case the idea of drinking your doughnut is just a little too much for you, Mashable reports that Krispy Kreme now also offers the reverse situation: doughnuts filled with Cheerwine-flavored cream.
