Julia Roberts celebrated a major milestone this weekend: her 50th birthday! The Academy Award-winning actress said in a new InStyle cover story that she's welcoming the fifth decade of life with "open arms and gratitude," but she insisted, "there's nothing different about this birthday than any other one."

Still, people can't seem to take her word for it. The pretty woman told the publication she continues to get questioned about what it's really like to be 50. Her reaction?

"Really, people? Are we still in that space? Did anyone go over this with George Clooney or Brad [Pitt] before their 50th birthdays?"

That's a fair point. But you can hardly blame people for being interested in her secret to looking and feeling great, regardless of age.

Earlier this year, Julia made history when People named her the World's Most Beautiful Woman for the fifth time—more than anyone else ever. Even her pal George Clooney has only won Sexiest Man Alive twice.

So, what is her secret?

"Marry the right person, give birth to a redhead, and have great girlfriends," Julia explained in her InStyle interview (the redhead part was a suggestion from her 12-year-old son, one of her three kids with husband Daniel Moder). "Those would be the three keys to joy."

Clearly, it's working. Julia said she is really, really happy. "There's no way to describe it without sounding sappy or ridiculous because everything in my mind ends with an exclamation point," she continued. "And the thing is, we have these three human beings who are just a complete reflection of the affection we have for each other."
