Though Kathie Lee Gifford's husband, Frank Gifford, died back in 2015, the Today show co-host says in a new interview that she's open to the possibility of finding love after loss. She talked to Access Live about the idea of dating, and she said,"Who doesn't want to find love again?"

"Some men are afraid of strong women. I wouldn't be interested in a man like that anyway," she said. "And some men are afraid of living up to the mantle of Frank Gifford."

Kathie Lee and Frank were together for 29 years. They were married in 1986 and had two kids, Cody and Cassidy. Gifford was a successful football player for the New York Giants and later commentated for ABC.

"There's no reason for [people to compare themselves to him]. Frank was just a flawed man like anybody else is. I didn't know him as a 8-time Hall of Famer, he was my husband," she said. "He was my friend for four years before we fell in love. So, if that's part of God's will, for me, I'm certainly open to it."

Kathie Lee revealed that although she is not actively pursuing a relationship online or by going out to singles bars, she did go out on a date in the past couple of years. Though the date didn't go so well, she said, because the other person didn't share her faith.

"My faith isn't something I do on Sunday mornings for an hour," she said. "My faith is me and I'm not gonna share my life with somebody, or even another hour of my life on a date with you, if you don't share the same passion for your faith as I do."

Access Live's Natalie Morales and Kit Hoover told Kathie Lee that she should keep looking for love even with that one bad date.

"Oh, I'm not deterred. I'm open to anybody that has their own teeth," she joked.
