Miranda Lambert just dropped a brand-new single, and it's as raw and personal as you'd expect it to be. Almost a year after announcing her divorce from Blake Shelton—and nearly two years after the release of her last album, Platinum—Miranda has released a brand-new song called "Vice."

The songstress co-wrote the song with well-known country songwriters Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne. In the ballad, Miranda alludes to her emotional year with lyrics like, "Maybe I'm addicted to goodbyes. She then goes on to sing:

Standing at the sink not looking in the mirror/ Don't know where I am or how I got here/ Well the only thing that I know how to find/ Is another vice.

Short of a few Instagram posts, Miranda has done very little promotion for her new single, perhaps wanting the music to speak for itself. She did post the following statement on Instagram, however:

The last year of my life has been one of heartache and healing ... Of learning to be honest .... Accepting the flaws and celebrating the smiles. Finding peace in dark places ... having some moments alone with me. Facing fears and feelings... All of them. I got to know my guitars...became friends with a pencil and paper ... Used melodies to lead me places I had never been.... Made music with my friends. Because music is medicine. This means the world to me. Thank you for joining me on this journey. #vice#musicismedicine

Miranda's new sound is grittier and darker than it's ever been. One Country says her honest lyrics and lack of promotion "has just changed country music." We couldn't agree more.
